The decoration consists of a series of panels containing variously archaic bird-like monsters and the T'ao T'ieh (gluttonous ogre), finely inlaid with gold and silver on a key-pattern ground. On the shoulders are four monster heads in full relief. Extremely fine patina. Period Sung 960-1280. Height 14 inches.]
