The translation of the poem which appears on one side being: The Moon replects the slender shadow of the Prunus The subtle fragrance of the Prunus seems to be wafted from the Ink well. Made in the Reign of Yung Cheng by the famous Artist, the Hon. Hu, director of the Kiln, his nom de plume being Ku Yue Shuan. He made the most perfect and refined porcelain in China during the Yung Cheng and Ch'ien Lung Periods. The decoration on the cups was painted by the famous Artist of the Imperial Academy.
