On the reverse of the stocks are long suspension hooks. Italian (Brescian) about 1640-1650. From the Zeughaus, Berlin. WHEEL-LOCK PISTOL, the stock of dark walnut inlaid with flowering scrolls in silver and gold wire, and trophies, birds, etc., in mother-of-pearl. On the flat bult end is inlaid in gold and coral the arms of the Medici, surmounted by a coroncl. The burrel is of octagonal section; the wheel-lock is plain with the wheel on the exterior.
